Mission, Vision, Values

Since it was established in 1976, Covenant Christian School (CCS) has been providing children and young people a comprehensive educational opportunity grounded in the Word of God. Caring teachers provide an environment, which promotes academic and spiritual development. Educational opportunities provide integrated truth into personal practice and individual productivity.

Our Mission
It is the mission of CCS to bring glory to God by teaching our students the whole counsel of God, calling them to obey everything King Jesus has commanded, and making them disciples in God's Kingdom.

We believe our students are uniquely made in the image of the Triune God, and it is, therefore, our mission to train them to perceive their world as God's creation showing forth His glory, and to understand history as the realm of His providential government. Furthermore, we seek to teach our students to think God's thoughts after Him by bringing every thought captive to the Lordship of Christ; and live their lives in self-conscious obedience to God's Word.

Recognizing that all are fallen creatures, dead in sin, and in need of the saving grace of God through the gospel, our mission is to center our student's education in the person of Jesus Christ as their only Savior from sin, and to urge them to live a life of repentance and faith under the transforming power of the Holy Spirit. Even students outside of the covenant community may take part in the blessings of a Christ-centered education here.

We understand our mission to be the nurture of children as an extension of the Christian home by the authority of the mandate given by God to parents and delegated by them to the Christian school.

We also recognize that God has committed to His Church the ministry of the Word and pastoral care, and it is our mission to maintain ties with local churches with like faith, encouraging our students and their families to be committed to loyal and fruitful membership there.
