Co-Curricular Activities 2011-2012
During the school year, there are several co-curricular activities, which are a part of the life and program of our school. Below is a list of these activities. Perhaps you would like to be involved in one or more. Talk to your teacher about participating, or you may contact .
Speech Meet: This is an annual school-wide event for First through Sixth grade. Winners go on to compete in the ACSI District 1 Speech Meet.
Art Festival: This is also an annual event within our school for grades K-12. Winning art is sent on to the District Art Festival.
Spelling Bee: This event is for all students in grades 1-8. The winners from each grade advance to compete at the ACSI District 1 level. If successful there, Fifth through Eighth graders are eligible to compete in the regional meet. Four winners are selected at the regional meet to compete in the nationals in Washington, D.C.
Geography Bee: This is an annual event for Fourth through Eighth grades, sponsored by the National Geographic Society.
Math Olympics: This annual event is for Fourth through Eighth grade students. The top math students from each class compete in math calculation and reasoning.
Field Trips and Special Outings: During the school year, special activities are planned for many or all of the classes. These will be announced as they are scheduled.
